Johnny is sort of the gang's pet. After Johnny's incident with those socs, johnny was very jumpy and Dally sort of brought him under his wing. This created a very pwerful bond between the two.
It's because Dally always acted cool and calm.
he wanted him to be proud of him
johnny is like a younger version of dally and dally doesn't want johnny being like him so when johnny wants to turn himself into the cops then dally doesn't want him to because he said that jail toughens him up and he doesn't want johnny to toughen up because if he does he could make some of the same mistakes dally did when he was younger and grow up to be like dally. but dally doesn't want johnny to be like him when he grows up, dally is sort of a father figure for johnny and doesn't want johnny getting hurt. When the church was on fire, dally went to save johnny. Also he doesn't want Johnny to end up like him
Yes I think so because he did not want to suffer about what happened to johnny because johnny was the only person dally had as a family member.
Dally doesn't want Johnny to turn himself in because Dally cares about Johnny and he doesn't want Johnny to end up like him. Dally was in jail so he knows how bad it is and what it can do to you.
Johnny represented innocence to Dally, who had lost his own innocence at a young age. Throughout the book Dally goes to great extents to protect the innocence in Johnny, and when Johnny finaly dies it causes Dally to snap and intentionaly get himself killed because he feels that all that was good and innocent in his life is lost along with Johnny. When Johnny is jumped and beaten by the socs it upsets Dally because he doesn't want to see Johnny become hardened to the world. The beating causes Johnny to become paranoid and carry a switchblade, evidence of the loss of innocence that Dally so strongly abhorrs.

Johnny felt like Dally was his big brother. Dally was always there for Johnny and they shared a brotherly love, not a gay love. When Johnny was stuck in the burning church Dally saved him. When Johnny said he wanted to turn himself into the cops Dally told Johnny not to because he didn't want Johnny to become like him because jail hardened him. He doesn't want Johnny to be cold-hearted and mean like himself.
Johnny says he is going to turn himself in, but Dally doesn't want this because they will put him in prison and then Johnny will become hard like Dally is. Cruel, Heartless, and don't care about anything. But Johnny is the only one Dally cares about he doesn't want Johnny to become like him because Dally already skrewed up his life.
A sunset
He doesn't, Dally doesn't want Johnny to turn himself in because Johnny would then be forced to go to jail. Dally didn't want jail to change him.
Johnny will start becoming more like Dally. By commiting crimes.
because he doesnt want to be hiding his whole life
he didn't want him to be fazed easily like johnny
