Strange question as it does not exactly depend on the Country... It depends on the People...

But, the most common foods at lunch time which are home cooked are fish soups, like Salmon soup, which has boiled potatoes, salmon chunks, and a nice soup sauce with some herbs.

Milk, water, juice, wine, ale, punch, cider, beer, liquour, moonshine (illegal), soda and energy drinks.

From alcoholic drinks mostly beer and liquour when it comes to less official occassions like binge drinking. Punch is served in bigger parties, wine is saved for fancier occassions.

Cider seems to be the favorite drink among young women.

Traditional beer is sahti.

They eat generally like people in the U.S or Aus do. For breakfast, the Finnish would usually have a big helping of porridge. (Know I do).

Typical foods include potatoes and fish such as salmon, poultry, beef etc.

In some Helsinki restaurants, for those with more exquisite tastes, they serve reindeer, sometimes even with the moss that the reindeer eat and you can buy reindeer meat in some supermarkets, there is also a blood slice made with cows blood! Tar is a popular seasoning, you can buy it in a spray bottle. There is tar candy, tar icecream etc. Just to match all the tar that goes into their lungs XDlol!

In other areas outside of metropolitan Helsinki, it is common for hunters to catch other animals such as bears and seals too, as almost 3 milliion people in Finland own guns.
