It means he's not treating you with respect. Being a boyfriend/girlfriend combo means that you do things together. Unless he has to work and he can't make it, but doesn't mind if you go alone then he's either a couch potato or he's cheating on you. Some guys are socially lazy and if you think it bothers you now give it another year or so. Sit down and discuss this with him because 'communication' skill saves a whole lot of heart ache and trouble. Let him know you aren't going to let him tie you down like this and will move on unless he gets more involved. He can't be working all the time. Stand up for yourself and expect the respect back that you give him. If he doesn't want to comply by your simple request then move on.
