all games for psn is free. all u need is a internet connection. xbl is still better though because with psn its alot easier for people to cheat in games and get away with it and its down more xbl is better because its always up and not as many cheaters. ps3 is just a poor man version for Xbox 360. if u have a ps3 or ur thinknig of what to get a ps3 or xbox 360 go with the 360 u gotta pay for live but its way better
The above answer is a myth that the Xbox 360 is better because you pay for online and does not really deal with the question. Most games are free to play online, but they also have a system that gives an advantage to individuals that make purchases. That is really true for the Playstation Home free games. Some games that you purchase used you must also purchase an online pass for on ether system. The Playstation Plus is also way better than Xbox live for the same cost because of the instant game collection. If you want to purchase game discs and spend all your time and money buying things get the Xbox 360
Playing downloaded games is a must for people who do not run to the store selling off there new games a week or two later for a quarter of what they paid for the game

∙ 11y agoPS3 has Playstation Home with an assortment of different games that are free and you win virtual items playing them. Some of the games are not free and require inexpensive tickets or purchase of optional items to improve performance

Playstation Plus has full game downloads that can be played for a limited time for game trials and they also have free games for members. These are not free though as they require membership in Playstation Plus at $49.99 per year and the free games expire with the lapse of membership in Playstation Plus
