At the end of "The Fog," a group of townspeople confronts the supernatural forces unleashed by the fog, which is inhabited by vengeful spirits of sailors who were wronged in the past. After a climactic showdown, the protagonist, Elizabeth, faces the fog's malevolent presence. The film concludes ambiguously, suggesting that the Horror may not be over, as the fog continues to loom ominously over the town, leaving the fate of the characters uncertain. The ending emphasizes the cyclical nature of vengeance and the haunting legacy of past sins.
