Canada has always been dependent on Immigration. There would be a huge problem if immigration stopped. It is a large country with a small population. It has a great education system and those who go through it from the start have a tremendous advantage in the pursuit of the best jobs. Canada needs immigration to fill the jobs at the end of the spectrum where education is not as necessary. The interesting thing is that immigrants bring a few very important ethics with them from their experience in lands where life is not as abundant. For the most part they appreciate the opportunities offered in Canada. Most work hard and save diligently. Those who grow up in Canada should pay attention to that one. And finally 2 generation down the line, Immigrants children and grandchildren are core Canadians. Some are such core Canadians that they question the wisdom of allowing immigration. They need to be reminded that for most of them their good life is due to their grandparents or great grandparents having the foresight and courage to come to this country.
