You might find it hard to believe, but the winner of the best pizza in the world is French. French people are the second biggest consumer of pizza in the world in total quantity, behind the USA and ahead of Italy. Per capita France takes the first place far ahead of these two other countries.
I cannot say that pizza is the #1 favourite dish of French, but it must certainly be in the top 10.
