An infinite number of parallels of latitude run through Canada, the most significant of which are the 49th parallel and the 60th parallel. They form part of the borders of four provinces and three territories.

The Arctic Circle at 66° 33′ 44″. Above this circle the sun can be seen 24hrs during the summer.

From Lake of the Woods, Ontario to Vancouver, BC, it is meant to be the 49th Parallel. In fact, due to surveying errors, the official boundary line varies from the actual 49th Parallel by as much as three quarters of a mile in places, but where the line was initially drawn is defined as the border.

From Lake of the Woods eastwards to the Atlantic Ocean, the border generally follows natural features like rivers and lakes.

to draw as many or as few lines through that range as you're comfortable with.

There's no standard set of "lines".
