The feather that is in the opening and closing scenes of "Forrest Gump" is a metaphor for the main theme of the movie - whether we have a destiny we have to live up to or whether we are just floating, randomly, like a feather on a breeze. In the end he comes to feel that life is a little bit of both, with both maybe happening at the same time. Like the feather, as Forrest tells his story, you don't really know what direction his tale is going to take until he tells it.
The character of Lt. Dan who loses his legs while in Vietnam is a metaphor for a crippled America, torn apart by the controversy of the Vietnam War. Lt. Dan had always believed that his destiny was to die for his country. He could not come to terms with living the rest of his life in a wheelchair and says to Forrest, "This wasn't how it was supposed to be. This wasn't supposed to happen," mirroring the American people's sentiment towards the war.

That's tough because that are both popular, but I would say Forest Gump. People seem to know about both, but they seem to like forest gump better.

"Run Forest Run" is a line from the movie Forest Gump. At the beginning of the movie Forest Gump is running away from some bullies and the girl he likes, Jenny, is calling after him "Run Forest Run" and that's the first time it's used. Forest Gump was a really fast runner and later in the movie, when he goes to college, he joins the football team and whenever he would get the football the people would just shout "Run Forest Run!"
iTunes, the program most widely used to download music, is a great place where the Forest Gump soundtrack can be purchased. It can also be purchased on Amazon, another great source for digitally downloading music.
