Why did Bruno and Shmuel become friends in The boy in the Striped pajamas?

1. In the story "The Boy in The Striped Pajamas" the characters Bruno and Shmuel relate to one another in many ways. When Bruno finds Shmuel sitting next to the fence one day he decides to sit down and talk. This is when they find out they have exactly the same birthday, and they get along very well. They also like listening to the stories and things that the other one tells about. This is where the heartwarming friendship begins.

Why is there no greenery in three distance after the fence in The boy in The striped pajamas?

Because it is a concentration camp. Bruno's father is head of this camp and had to move close to it, to make sure everything was running the way it was suppose to be. This explains why they were so close to it. Concentration camps were a brutal place. It was basically a slaughter house, and it was pointless in trying to make it look appealing to the eye when the things going on inside the fence could scar you forever.

Who would you recommend the book The Boy in the Striped Pajamas to?

Absolutely! The book is used in many fifth grade classrooms. The book deals with many difficult issues, but in a child-like or child-minded way. Because the story is written from an 8 year olds perspective, many things are toned down due to a lack of understanding. I am using this book with an entire middle school. If you are still uncertain, read through the book yourself. It will only take about a week or a weekend depending on how much time you have or how fast you read.

All zebras are striped animals. no zebra are polar bears. Therefore no polar bears are striped animals?

No. You have no statement here that shuts polar bears out of the striped animals category. You've put zebras into the striped animals group, but there could be other things in the same group. You'd have to do that the other way around: All striped animals are zebras. No polar bears are striped animals. Therefore no polar bears are zebras.

The difficulties of the Islamic religion and why?

The more you follow and obey sincerely, the less you think the difficulty comes hitting on you. Once there are things that you learnt that you have to make changes, it might seemingly difficult to you at first, but look at the bright side and keep striving for what you want to succeed, then you most likely will see that it is not that difficult anymore. Some might thinks it is really difficult... because it requires changes. Always be optimistic!
