1609 - discovered the mouth of what now is known as the Hudson River as Henry explored the East coast of North America near Canada and New York. He also sailed into present day new York harbour

1610 - He enters the Hudson Strait and explores the southern shores. Sails into what he thought was the Pacific Ocean, but it really was a very large bay, now known as Hudson Bay.
