Yes he does die. He is taken on a march. He was put in a dark 'room'. This is what he believed. He thought that it was a room to stay in while it rained. The book ends in him suffocating in the dark room A.K.A gas chamber.

What does Out With mean in The Boy in the Striped Pajamas?

That is simply what the author makes Bruno call Auschwitz. The author, mistakenly, thinks the name is hard to pronounce: the only thing about it that is 'hard' for native speakers of English is the spelling. Please see the related question.Out-With was how Bruno referred to Auschwitz - the concentration camp he lived next to. The author, John Boyce, had him call it this to show his innocence and naivety.

In The Boy In The Striped Pajamas who does Bruno think the Jews are?

Bruno is naive. He doesn't exactly know what's going on around him. In the movie after Bruno sees the propaganda film, he is thinking about joining the Nazis side. But with his teacher and Gretel telling him one thing, and Pavel and Shmuel acting totally different. Both Shmuel and Pavel are nice, and nothing like what everyone is telling him Jews are like. Towards the end, he questions his fathers morales. Jews obviously aren't as bad as everyone says.

What are important events in the boy in the striped pajamas?

The important thing is that Bruno's parents and the Nazis hopefully now realize that Jews are the same as the Nazis because they didn't notice bruno in the camp even though he was put in a gas chamber with schmuel.

Who is the main character in the boy in striped pajamas?

Simply the Germans or Bruno's father... I also believe that prejudice was also a antagonist type of thing....it's Bruno's father because he makes them move out of Berlin..out of nowhere because of his job as a general soldier. This is a hard question to answer. you could say it was Hitler, because without him nothing would've happened.

How can Bruno's naivety be seen as both a good and as a bad things?

Bruno's naivety is a good thing because he is non-judgemental, unlike Gretel. He may have been taught to hate Jews, but he did not mean it because he does not see Jews the way Nazi sees it, evil. But Bruno's naivety is a bad thing because he was determined to understand what is happening around him, and as he was so close to know what his Father is doing with the camp and the people in the striped pyjamas, he could not be able to, because he was trapped in a gas chamber with Shmuel and died. I hope this helps you, It helped me too a little bit because I am doing an essay about Bruno.

What is in the boy in the striped pajamas?

' "Ah, those people," said Father, nodding his head and smiling slightly. "Those people.. well, they're not people at all, Bruno." ' [page 53] ^ The quote above shows racism and how roughly the Jews were treated back then. It shows that, to the Nazis, Jews were nothing more than dirty animals. (No offence to Jews, of course.)
