In the Cape Point Nature reserve you can find large antelope including Kudu, Bontebok and Hartebeest. Other mammals include Baboons and Cape Mountain Zebra. June to November, great viewing of the Southern Right Whales is possible. Reptiles include Cape Cobra, Puff Adder and tortoises. Only Baboons venture out in to the populated areas but stay out of the city itself.
