This would mean that the final eighth season of Quincy M.E. would be available in 2029.
No public statements have been released by Universal regarding the delays in releasing Quincy on DVD, however a recent ongoing lawsuit over profits from the show between Quincy actor Jack Klugman and Universal Studios may have caused a suspension of releases.
In Australia, the rights for Quincy have been sub-leased to Madman Entertainment. The Australian government's film classification website confirms that an application was made by this company in September 2011 for the release of a DVD (or two) containing the episodes from Quincy Season 4. Thus, Quincy season 4 will likely be available in Australia either by the end of 2011 or during 2012.
