Dutch did not rule India like other European powers however they maintained few ports for trade purposes. In Malabar Coast (Kerala) they held Cochin, Quilon (Kollam), Cranganore (Kodungallur) and Cannanore (Kannur). In Tamil Nadu they held Pulicat (Pazhaverkadu), Tuticorin (Thoothukudi) and Nagapattinam. In Bengal they held few factories at Pipley, Hougli, Patna, Baleshwar and Murshidabad. Basically patches of port villages. Cochin can be considered as enclave.
