I've been trying to find the same fitting for my 95 unit and may be on to something. On the AC compressor there is a fitting labeled H, which I assume is the High pressure side, which is NOT what you seek. I found an aluminum tubing that comes out of the firewall turns right and the follows the passenger side fender all the way to the radiator. There is a female fitting on that tubing that takes the recharge fitting, so after a little more investigation I hope to try that on my car. I hope that this helps you, and me.

∙ 17y agoon the lines leading away from the compressor...read up on this Everyone should have a manual for their vehicle, and a professional shop manual should be available at your local library for diagnostic procedures etc, just make copies of the right pages, as they are usually REFERENCE only...read up and good luck :)

∙ 14y agoThe a/c compressor is located on the top passenger side of your pulley system. It is right above your alternator.

I would assume it would. I haven't worked with those specific years but everything I've seen with the Cherokee(and jeep in general) is that most years are interchangeable as long as they are same engine size.
