A copy of The Iliad can be found online on the Project Gutenberg website. Search for read the Iliad free on Google or another search engine. There should be a link from the site gutenberg.org near the top of the results page. Click on this link, then scroll down and click the "Main Site" download link across from the first plain text file. You will be taken to a plain text version of the Iliad on the Project Gutenberg website. If you want to download the file to your computer, right click the link and select the option that reads something like "save link as", "save target", etc.
