Well... it depends on the age of the kid. If it is say 10 or under than it would probably not watch cartoons that are violent or to scary for them. I f they were older 11 and up they would watch older type cartoons and so on.

Well, I mean like when adults are watching kids cartoons it's just not very grown up. Maybe you just enjoy watching it for the memories or for the laughs, but their's other shows for grown ups that are cartoons, such as South Park, Family Guy, Futurama, I grew up with those cartoons, though.
