They turn to Dally Winston. Because they think that he would no what to do. Also he tells Johnny " Good for you"
Johnny is special to his friends because he was always there for them when they needed his help
they go home. when they are home darry slaps pony and he runs away with johnny. pony then says "lets just walk to the park and back maybe then i will be cooled down enough to go home". while at the park they get attacked by the same socs that attacked johnny awhile back. one of them tries to attack pony and then johnny kills them and they run to find dally to try and help them get out of this predicament.
When Johnny and Pony went back to the park, the Mustang full of Soc's showed up. The Soc's got out and started beating up Pony and Johnny for picking up their girls (Cherry and Marcia) earlier at the Drive-in. The Soc's begin to drown Pony in the fountain so Johnny tries to save him by stabbing the Soc, Bob, with his switchblade. He kills Bob and scares off the other Soc's. This then freaks out Ponyboy and the boys run off to find Dally for advice on what to do next...

Dally gives Pony and Johnny a gun and $50 to run away because they killed Bob.
Dally give Pony and Johnny a gun and money. He tells them to catch the freight train to Windrixville and to go to the church at the top of Jay Mountain.
Because they were mad at them for sitting with 'their girls' at the movie theater. It probably didn't help that they were drunk.
Grim triumph is what Dally shows as an expression towards Johnny's death. The only thing Dally loved was Johnny. He always protected him, epecially when Johnny had killed Bob, and He risked his life to help Johnny. That is why Johnny's death created the unhapiness of Dally.
