In the 1950s and 1960s the superpowers were the United States and Russia or at that time the (USSR) Soviet Union. Now it consist of India, Pakistan, China, European Union, Canada, United States at the moment. == The European Union isn't a state but a loose association, except in matters relating to agriculture, trade and finance. It's not a political 'power'. Canada a superpower? Pakistan? With all respect, no.
