The border for those two countries follows the Uruguay River. Part of it is shared with Brazil. In 1815 to 1816, the United Kingdom of Brazil , & Brazil and the Algarves (which was what Brazil was called before independence) tried to annex Uruguay.

A tiny pedestrian-only town near Cordoba, Argentina. An old German outpost, very lush with waterfalls, trees and chalets in the hills. A nice break from traveling.
