Why does the Item finder in Pokemon Diomand Pearl and Platinum flash sometimes when you try searching?

when you tap on it, itll show a black dot sometimes. that black dot is a hidden item.

move in the direction of the black dot (your in the middle of the crosshairs) and tap agin until you are close, then tap a while facing the tile the item is on, and hey presto, hidden item is yours.

there are lots of nuggets hidden around caves, and too many stardusts to count in mt coronet.

they sell for 5000 each, so its well worth your time to use them.

Questioner- Well duh, I know that, but sometimes the ring keeps flashing until I move.

Answerer - sarcasm isn't called for. but my answer holds, somtimes it will flash when you find something, and keep flashing until you move.

Questioner- That's not sarcasm, it does not flash when I find something because there is nothing around to pick up.

Answerer - i was talking about te "duh". anyway, what i said still stands. if its flashing, there is something there. sometimes the black dot wont show up, which means its something extremely valuable, such as a plate. but it will still flash.

either way, if the item finder is flashing, there is something to find.
