It works like a x button on the six axis controller. Its the main button you press for actions (e.g press it to shoot, draw, accept etc...) However, the playstation move controller also comes with an x button just incase.

You need the receiver. Plug it in like a normal controller, and switch on the guitar at the bottom on the side - you'll see it. It should flash red. Look at the receiver. If it also flashes red when you press a button, etc., you're hooked up to the ps2. Congrats =p x
on your PS3 go to settings then accessory setting on accessory setting go on manage blue tooth devices devices then register new device star scanning while scanning hold down the on/off button on the mic and then it should connect

you press the xbox button on it. if it doesnt work hold it down.

Press the PS button in the centre of the controller, then plug the controller charging cable into the controller (with the other end of the cable connected to the cosnole), it should register after a couple of seconds.
First you go to the top of the controller, right of the left trigger and left of the center of the controller. There is a small round button with a thing that look's like the signal strength of a cell phone above it. Press and hold that till the center button lights start turning clockwise. Then Press the connect button on your xbox. It will then automatically connect the controller to that xbox. Repeat this process if you want to do this on another xbox
You need to press the connect button on the dongle and then press the menu button on the controller

You can go to the PlayStation 3 starting screen and press the PS button in the center of the controller, and there should be a pop up in the corner (or near) that shows you the battery charge.
On the top of the controller there should be a small button next to the button to release the button to the battery pack. Press that the light should start flashing that means its looking for a console now on your console there should also be a small button that looks exactly like the one on the controller press that and the console light will start flashing meaning its looking for the controller if there both flashing at the same time they should connect.
