Hi I'm French and i guess it's because we were born here, the country of 365 different cheeses... There's such variety you have to love at least one! Many really taste great even if they stink! Moreover, they are good for the health (contain a lot of calcium) if you eat them in moderation. It's true that we have a strange meal compared to English speaking countries, i.e. 3-course-meals + cheese for lunch and for dinner but then we don't nibble all day long. Most French people still share family meals every day. It's all part of the same tradition. Eating is not just a matter of refilling your batteries... It's a pleasure. We are a nation of gourmets... And I think we are kind of healthy too. Have you ever tried real cheese (not cheese spread or that kind of junk)?

Parmesan cheese, specifically known as "Parmigiano-Reggiano," is traditionally made in Italy, not France. However, France produces a similar cheese called "Parmesan" or "Parmesan-style cheese," primarily in regions like Jura and Savoie. These French versions follow similar production methods but may differ in taste and texture from authentic Parmigiano-Reggiano.

However, Vermont is known for its artisanal cheese industry, contributing significantly to the state’s agricultural economy. The state is home to numerous cheese makers, with a strong emphasis on quality and local ingredients. For precise statistics, it is best to consult the Vermont Agency of Agriculture or relevant industry reports.
