The French Revolutionists wanted to rid themselves of their system of absolute monarchy and Marie Antoinette tried to gather foreign assistance from Austria, Russia, Sweden & Prussia in the form of military aid to defeat the Revolutionists and, as such, she was later deemed a traitor to her own country. Once the Revolutionists found this out, they eventually killed her entire family except for her daughter, and they even killed her best friend when she wouldn't deny the oath of loyalty she had taken to her best friend, the Queen. After they killed her husband, the King, they took Marie's 8-year old son and placed him in solitary confinement for 2 years (during which he was actually the king) and they forced him to curse his mother and to drink alcohol between his frequent beatings. He died 2 years later of tuberculosis & his body was said to be covered in tumors & scabies which would signify a lingering, painful death.
So, despite whatever transgressions of the early years of Marie Antoinette's reign, people refused to see that along the way she matured & changed into a queen who did care about her people. She was simply a figurehead that represented all that was wrong in France and the people blamed the absolute monarchy for all of their problems. While the system of absolute monarchy was, indeed, fraught with problems, no one deserved to die as her family did and for what they died for. The sad thing is that by the time she died, she had been through so much heartache and suffering that she could have been a grand Queen who represented the cares and concerns of her people more than they could have imagined. Look up Marie Antoinette on Wikipedia. She was completely innocent, but the French needed a someone to blame all their poverty on. Throughout her life the most horrible stories were made up about her wild spending habits and disconcern for her starving country. She was Austrian, and ever since France had been in war with this country for several years before Marie Antoinette even came to France, she was absolutely not wanted on the French throne. She was not welcome being a foreigner and throughout her life they kept nicknaming her L'autrichiene (the Austrian). Everything that went wrong in the country was automatically blamed on her. Also other royals were very jealous of her and therefore she even had enemies very close to her, though she didn't know (her brother in law, Compte du Provence, was always so charming and nice to her, but financed loads and loads of horrible pamphlets to be printed about her and spread in Paris and beyond). The people charged her with treason and her head was severed by the guillotine in October of 1793, her husband (Louis XVI) was guillotined in January earlier that year.
The shoes were put in the shot purposefully to portray Marie-Antoinette as a typical teenage girl, despite the time she lived in.
In August 1789 Marie Antoinette, Louis XVI and their children were forced by the Parisians to move from Versailles to the Tuileries castle. Here they were put under house arrest (which can be called imprisoned because they were guarded 24 hours a day and weren't allowed to go anywhere but the gardens. After they had tried to escape to Montmedy and were caught in Varennes, they were put in the Temple prison, which was an actual jail.
well their lifestyles were very ummm,,,,,,,welll really cool??/?
She is said to be buried in the necropolis of French Kings at St. Denis Basilica (a big and beautiful cathedral in Paris) along with her husband Louis XVI of France. This is the cathedral were all French Kings and their family used to be buried Though, during the French revolution an angry mob trashed the cathedral actually opening the graves and throwing the deceased out of their graves. It was restored though, but it was never quite certain of course if the correct body parts had been put back in their righteous coffins... When Marie Antoinette was beheaded, her body was thrown in an unmarked grave in the former La Madeleine cemetery (closed the following year). Both her body and that of Louis XVI were exhumed on 18 January 1815, during the Bourbon Restoration, when the comte de Provence had become King Louis XVIII. Proper Christian burial of the royal remains took place three days later, on 21 January. At least, so it is said. In those days there wasn't something called DNA-testing and Marie Antoinette and Louis XVI had been thrown into a mass grave. During the digging in that grave, a witness says he recognized an upperleg-bone with a suspender on it and said it was definitely Marie Antoinette's. The body of Louis XVI was recognized by the shape of the skull. These remains are now buried at the St Denis. Thus, it is highly unlikely that it is actually Marie Antoinette and Louis XVI that are buried there. It is much more probable that they are still somewhere underground
Commit a crime while you are a child. Any crime that you can be charged or put in jail for. Petty theft to assault can put you in juvy.

Support for the American Revolution put a great strain on the French economy.
They were put to bed by the entire court. The bed was blessed by a priest and everyone expected Louis XVI to make Marie Antoinette his wife (to consummate the marriage). He didn't though and it would take him up to 7 years until he did.
The arrest him, put him in jail, make him pay child support in jail, weekly visits for the kids to see him in jail, you get tired of letting the kids see him in jail, move on while he is in jail, you miss him alot while he is in jail, get remarried but then divorce because the guys a meanie while your husband is in jail, then he has porole from jail, you realize your the only one for him while hes in jail, he gets out on good behavior from jail, you and him live happily ever after from his one to two year sentance from jail...JAIL
This was a vicious excuse during Marie Antoinette's trial to have the jury (who were already scared to death their heads might role next) vote to have her executed (since evidence of treason for which she was tried was lacking!). This never actually happened. The child in question, Louis Charles, was taken away from Marie Antoinette after Louis XVI was executed and he was put under the custody of a certain monsieur Antoine Simon who abused him and made him drink alcohol. He forced the child to sign a document stating his own mother had sexually abused him.Even the jury was appalled by this during Marie Antoinette's trial because they knew exactly how this "evidence" had been gained. Therefore it was thrust aside and never used as official evidence in the case.
Marie Antionette was moving out of her palace from an angery mob in 1789 because... 1 She was spending 10,000 a month 2 Her Husband spent 3,000 a month to help the America's but he just made war 3 it was rumored that Marie said "No Bread, then let them eat cake.'' and that she gave "Thomas Jeferson got a tour of her gardens. You take the hint and leave him alone.

He died while he was imprisoned in the Temple prison. He was first imprisoned with his father (Louis XVI), mother (Marie Antoinette) and his sister (Marie Therese Charlotte), but after the French beheaded his father, they put him in an isolation cell away from his family who he would never see again. He was kept in the isolation cell for two years until his death. He was abused in horrible ways by his keepers. He probably died of the causes of abuse.
