Elena dies twice in the books. When Elena dies in the Struggle, She goes to the boarding house to wait for Stefan, but he is not there. When Elena is attacked by Katherine, she tries to run away but drowns in the river after her car goes over the rails of the bridge. She can't get out of the water because Katherine uses Power to keep her under. After Stefan pulls her out of the water, She comes back as a vampire.
In the Fury, Elena is trying to save Stefan and Damon, so when she attacks Katherine, they both go in the sun (Elena without her ring) and pulls off Katherine's necklace which is made of Lapiz Lazuli. Katherine burns in the sun while Elena just dies.

∙ 13y agoi don't think so because always the first caracters in movies,book,tv series (in this one damon, stephan, and elana) don't ever die. so i am 100% sure that damon,stephan and elana wont die in the whola tv series.
