U shut off the power on the back and then flip the switch back on. Next make sure the light on the front is red. Finally u hold on to the power button for about 5 secs until u hear a beep. Let go and wala. (it may take a few secs to work)
There are some tricks to do things on the PS3 and can be found under the site Secrets of the PS3 under Super Secrets. It is your TV that is saying no signal and not the PS3. When it happens to me it is when the TV is not switched to the correct source. For me this is when the HDTV is still at the PS3 source of HDMI or HDMI-3 plug and not the cable HDMI plug or HDMI-1. It can also happen when you purchase a cheap HDMI cable that stops working or when something is just disconnected from either end of the PS3 A/V or HDMI cable
