The dealer you bought it from may have the key code on file. The key code allows them to cut a key without having the original.
it may not be you ignition relay, but your alternator.
It sends the proper signal to the ecu to allow certain curcuits to close to allow power to the acc, on and run positions with the key.
When the radio is not working lots of other stuff doesn't work either. Try jiggling the keys in the ignition---or pressing back on them in the ignition.
Either your ignition coil packs are bad and need to be replaced. That or your injectors have ohm'ed out over specs and also need to be replaced. You can check and see which is the culprit by doing a power balance test. With the engine running pull the connector to the ignition coil if the idle stumbles then that coil is working properly. On the other hand if it doesn't then either the injector or the coil is bad.
It will either be 'Niall and the Potatoes' or 'The Brooke'.
Do you mean the ignition key or the ignition switch? The ignition switch is located on the top of the steering column above the brake pedal. It's held on by 2 bolts. It's a lot easier to work on with the column removed. If you mean the ignition key. You need to remove the steering wheel, lock plate and turn signal switch. The key tumbler will either be held in by a screw or a tab on the tumbler. There are several sources on the Internet with detailed procedures.
you have to pull the transmission out-- or the enging which either is easier
Most likely its an Ignition Switch/Cylinder issue unless you know that you have an alarm system that has the ability to lock the ignition switch. Other issues is that it could also be the Tumbler. If its stuck, best bet is to either call a locksmith and have them check it out, or have it towed to a garage that you trust.
9/16 for the starter bolts, either 1/4 or 5/16 for the ignition wire and either 14 or 15 mm for the power wire from the battery
There is a problem in the distributor. Either the pickup coil or the ignition module are defective. It may be cheaper to purchase a remanufactured distributor.
There'll either be a key, a combination lock (tumbler or electronic), or a combination of both.
its either the starter or your ignition
You can either call it a tumbler or a beaker. A Bowl.
either the coil is cactus or the ignition module. i'd start there. fords have problems cos the coils overheat due to lack of cold air flow and they crack. this usually causes the ignition module to fail. if you change one, you change the other. also bad earths cause ignition modules to fail.
change the ignition starter switch
either the ignition switch or the lock cylinder itself is bad. I would change both and check the rod that goes into the switch to make sure it is not binding up
See if either has an "on" button and a plug. Then, if both have it, try shooting them through a cannon. that ought to do the trick.
