2004 Chevy Tahoe seat heat turns off intermittently Sometime immediately sometimes after a couple of minutes. No other devices on. I've even turned things like the radio on to test. Any thoughts?

Defective (weak) relay? Just yesterday my seat nearly caught on fire! A gas emitted from the seat and made me dizzy and nauseous. It also smelled a burnt plastic. It wouldn't shut OFF. After leaving the car turned off for several minutes, I turned the car on and tested the seat. The heat came right back on- with the buttons turned off. I turned the car back off and waited even longer. This time I was able to drive with the seat heater not coming on. The dealership tells me it could be a module ($310), the seat grid ($100+) or the relay. WOW!
