Depending on if you like screamo with your rock songs, there's Anberlin, Adema, Staind, Dead by Sunrise, Julien-k (kinda like electronica music, but it's good), Cradle of Filth, A Change of Pace, Blood Stain Child, Black Veil Brides, Bleeding Through, Blue October, Breaking Benjamin, Coheed & Cambria, Crossfade, Deathgaze, Dragonforce, Drowning Pool, Evanescense, Fireflight, Gazette, Godsmack, Judas Priest, L'arc en Ciel, Manafest, Marilyn Manson, Nightwish, Otep, Ozzy Osbourne, Rob Zombie, Sentenced, Skillet, Submersed, System of a Down, The Devil Wears Prada, Theory of a Deadman, The Red Jumpsuit Apparatus, The Used, Trapt, Underoath, Versailles, and Within Temptation.
You could try listening to some Pearl Jam, Especially their album Ten is extremely good and considered a masterpiece by many. Notable songs to check out: Alive, Even Flow, Jeremy, Porch, Rearviewmirror If you like a little harder rock than Pearl Jam has to offer, you could go for Stone Temple Pilots. Also, if you like your rock to be a little faster and more joyful, you could try listening to "The Offspring" Although they're mostly considered to be a punk rock band one could argue about their style of punk rock (especially in their early works) could fall in under the category of "Hard Rock" Notable songs to check out: Self Esteem, Come Out And Play, The kids Aren't Alright, (Can't Get My) Head Around You If however, you like to listen to some not-so-known well known music you could also try listening to a band named Jane's Addiction. Their style is somewhat similar to classic Hard Rock bands such as Gun's N' roses (which you could also check out) Notable songs to check out: Just Because, True Nature, Stop! Also. A some really good bands that also emerged from the early 90's Seattle grunge rock scene (along with pearl jam) would be Alice In Chains and Soundgarden Notable songs to check out (by Alice in chains): Would?, Down In A hole, Them Bones Notable songs to check out (by soundgarden): Black Hole Sun, Spoonman, Fell on Black Days, My Wave I think that can get you started for now. A good idea if you like to find new music recommendations based on what you already listen to, or just to discover new music, could be to join Last.fm (also called the social music revolution) you could Google it. Have fun.
You won't find a list with all heavy metal bands on it.

Go and check out this website. It list all of the songs that are one the Rock Band game. The website is http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_rockband_songs.
The list of bands which didn't would be much shorter. Look from Black Sabbath onwards, and you'll find no shortage of bands.
The Scorpions are German, like a large number of other classy metal bands (Destruction, Accept, Kreator, Rammstein, Sodom, the list goes on...)
Now the bands I'm mentioning are not thrash metal bands, but they are still in the metal genre/spectrum.Dragonlord (Formed by guitarist Eric Peterson of Testament; Black Metal Band; Favorite Song: UNTIL THE END.)Dragonforce (Not really acquainted with this band, but i thought i would list them, Power Metal)
There's a number of bands with songs by this name, both amongst true Metal bands, non-Metal bands which the media likes to try passing off as Metal, and non-Metal bands which don't try to be Metal bands. From the former category, the song by Pentagram from their First Daze Here Too compilation and the one by Exit Wounds from their Return Fire EP are the ones which would seem the most likely from that list, although there are tracks by that name by Dream Smashers Inc., Embittered, Jaww, Omegalord, Megascavenger, Play War, and Throne.Other tracks by that name from non-Metal bands have been performed by Flying Blind, Willis, Ted Nugent, Monroe Michael, Citizen King, Laura Branigan, Rico, and several other. The most famous of those would probably be either the one by Ted Nugent, or the one by Flying Blind, which was featured on the soundtrack to the movie, American Pie 2.
The are a lot of really great nu metal bands. here's a list of a few im really into: - Linkin Park - Korn - Limp Bizkit - System Of A Down - Drowning Pool - Papa Roach

A lot of songs have guitar riffs, some of them multiple times, and far too many to list. If you want to try findign some, start by searching for metal or heavy rock bands, and listen to a few songs; some bands have moer riffs, others use less.

None of the materials listed is a heavy metal, because most of them are compounds, and only elements are ever heavy metals. The only one on the list that does not contain a heavy metal is chlorine, which is a nonmetallic element.

In terms of record sales, most would probably list one of these Gothenburg/'Melodeath' bands, which really aren't Death Metal. As far as actual impact on the scene goes, it would be Bathory, who were basically the cog in the mechanism from which Death Metal bands developed in Europe (vs. American bands, who took their que from Possessed).
kiss heartbreakers and many others that i dont know ^^ If these bands are Satanist, then I would be afraid of the bands i currently listen to. These bands are probably more Christian than Satanist. Neither of those are true Satanists. Check out the black metal scene, bands like Mayhem etc. Then Marilyn Manson is a Priest of the Church of Satan, although there aren't that many true Satanists outside of black metal. It is VERY hard to list all the Satanic bands of the world. There are over 500 black metal bands, and a small portion are actually Satanist. Behemoth Enthroned Samael Dissection Sirius Shade Empire Gorgoroth Astrath Borgne Triptykon Vader This is a very small portion of Satanic bands. If anyone else knows of any other, please continue this list. The reality of it is that most "Satanic" bands are the equivalent of what rappers refer to as "studio gangsters" - their lyrics may be laden with the lyrics, but the members of the bands don't actually hold such beliefs to be true. This is often the case, even with Black Metal bands.
two man bands three man bands and four man bands

Depends what you mean by "dangerous". If you mean a band that is very violent with their music, I'd say GWAR. If you mean a band that will try to kill people, I'd say most Black Metal bands - as they have a tendency to burn churches. If you mean a band that influences people to kill themselves or each other, those bands do not exist - as that is likely a personal problem.
