Ok here's the truth. Mariah claims that she was referring to the movie "Mean Girls" (which she is a huge fan of) the part where one of the girls say "Why are you so obsessed with me". That's where Mariah got the part in the beginning of her song where she goes "And I was like, why are you obsessed with me?" If you think about it, it actually makes a lot of sense. In case you haven't noticed, Mariah Carey is a superstar. Many people are truly obsessed with Mariah which could be another possible reason why she wrote Obsessed. The media however is saying the song is in response to Eminem's song "Bagpipes from Baghdad". The director of the video Obsessed probably should've realized that the video looked as if it were aiming Eminem.Was is a coincidence? or was the song aimed at Eminem? There are many coincidences in this unforgiving world of ours. Perhaps this may be one of them. Or not?
