they're quite good actually.nowadays there are different degrees of quality amongst that particular model.
avoid any drums made of "hardwood".
quality drums are made from Birch or Maple.
older 80's exports are good sets.all you need is some good heads.
Maple and birch ARE hardwood! It really depends what sound you want. I use a Pearl forum kit with poplar for both live and recording and love it.My brother uses a dW maple kit and loves it.The secrete is in the proper tuning and finding the best heads to get the sound you want. Also how the shell is made makes a big difference. But the wood type is all in the ear of the beholder.
BTW Export drums are very good quality and durable.
To find the serial number on Pearl Export drums, check the interior of the drum shell, usually near the bearing edge or inside the drum's end. For hardware, such as the bass drum pedal or drum throne, the serial number can often be found on the bottom or underside. Additionally, some models may have the serial number located on the badge attached to the drum shell. If you're unsure, consulting the Pearl website or user manual for your specific model can provide more guidance.

18 pieces? Even with two snares (one off one on) and double bass drums, you would still need 14 toms to make an 18 piece drum kit. Remember, pieces does not refer to the cymbals, percussion pieces, and hardware. Only the drums. I don't think you can even buy 14 Pearl Export toms of different sizes.
They vary depending on the drum kit, but the standard sizes are 12", 13", 14", 16", and 22" for the rack toms, snare, floor tom, and bass drum.
The answer is a matter of opinion. I say go to Google and type in tama or pearl. This will bring you to websites that have the personal reviews of musicians and drum experts. I prefer Pearl, but that is just me.
no dumbshit you stupid or something

Pearl Drums manufactures not only drums but other percussion instruments as well. In addition, it sells several services that teach drumming and other things.
In every question regarding drums I've answered, I've said it's a matter of what music you play. But overall, I think the best drum makers are Yamaha and pearl. What I like the most about them is they offer kits for any style of music. For example, Yamaha makes kits like the stage and tour custom. Though rather expensive, these kits can be played for many different genres, it just depends on what sizes you get. It's like that with almost any kit, but the sound quality is part of being a good drum maker. pearl vision, masters and reference series drums are very good for almost any genre. If you don't have so much money, vision is somewhat a kit for someone on a budget, but worth the money. The refence series is probably the best kit they've ever made. A very much cheaper alternative is pearl export series. If you have two to three thousand dollars laying around, Pearl reference or Yamaha stage custom. If you have five to eight hundred dollars, pearl export or vision. If you have any further questions regarding drums email me at benaild@gmail.com

The Pearl Musical Instruments Company produces various types of drums. The Pearl Music Instruments Company also produces electronic drums, which are also not as loud.

Yes, If you read the manual that came with the game(Pearl or diamond) It said you have to complete your pokedex then go to a garden and you can catch all the Pokemon you export.
It is known that Bon Jovi and Nick Augusto used the Pearl drum and percussion instruments. Also, Deep Purple and KISS band use these instruments. Megadeth and Guns and Roses also use Pearl drums.
