This is one of those "matter of opinion" type questions, but personally, I prefer EMG pickups to Seymour Duncan.

The ESP ltd EC-1000T/C TM, ESP ltd EC-1000FR (Floyd Rose Tremolo), ESP ltd EC-1000QM (Quilt Maple), ESP ltd EC-1000 BLK (Black), ESP ltd EC-1000 VB (Vintage Black), ESP ltd EC-1000 SSB (Silver Sunburst), all have an active EMG 81 in the bridge position, and an active EMG 60 in the neck position.However, these following models of the ESP ltd EC-1000 line DO NOT have the same pickups as the previous.The ESP ltd EC-1000T and ESP ltd EC-1000 MGO (Metallic Gold) both have Seymour Duncan Alnico II Pro pickups, in both the bridge and neck positions.The ESP ltd EC-1000FM (Flame Maple) has a Seymour Duncan JB in the bridge position, and a Seymour Duncan '59 in the neck position.As a side note, ALL of these pickups are humbucking, or dual coil.
Can you put active pickups in ESP LTD KH-202?
The KH-602 has active pickups but the KH-202 has passive pickups. It is possible to convert to active - either EMGs or Seymour Duncan but you would have to find somewhere to put the batteries.

well to be honest i could only give you a review of the pickups on the jackson but i personely own the the ltd ax-50 and have to say its a great guitar, very sturdy and can take a beating, the string detune often when you first get it but that wears off and the pickups are good but not perfect, i suggest swapping them for one "EMG HZ" pickup and one "Dimarzio X2N" for some insane metal of coarse. but overall a great guitar for biggenners and experts. but to get to the pick ups on the jackson, there good but not perfect kinda like the ltd but a little better(emphasis on the little)

I have an ec-1000 (w/o Floyd Rose) and it's an excellent guitar. Just keep in mind that it comes with active pickups, as some people prefer passive pickups. It's also important to consider whether you want the Floyd Rose bridge or not.

Ibanez vs dean vs ESP?
They have their pro's and con's. ESP has neck through construction for better sustain and easier access to higher frets, some higher end ESP's have Original Floyd Roses (the best tremolo out there) and active pickups. Ibanez is usually cheaper and a lot easier to find. There is a lot more choice with ibanez and they often feature more interesting parts than ESP's. Don't limit yourself, look at Jackson (probably the best metal guitar company out there) and just try out what you like. I would personally say ESP, but try out a few of each company. Jackson.
How many guitars does Angel Fuentes use on stage?
Angel mainly uses 2 guitars during live shows. He does take others on tour as "backup's. I don't know exactly how many, but I have seen some them off stage on a guitar rack. His MAIN guitars are: ESP KH-602 and an ESP M-II NTB. He has EMG pickups in both.
