Yes you can donate after a tubal ligation (female sterilisation / tube tying). I have recently looked into this exact question myself. I found an organisation called 'The Egg Donor Centre' who answer the question. In their FAQ section this question is currently (2 March 2008) posed second on their FAQ list. They answer 'Yes - Your eggs will be retrieved prior to being released in the fallopian tubes.' There many other interesting answers on the subject so I have pasted the link to their websites FAQ section for you. http://theeggdonor.com/egg_donor_faqs.html Hope this helps. Debby (United Kingdom)
Yes they still can. A woman with her tubes tied can receive an in vitro implantation.
While tubal ligation will drastically reduce the risk of pregnancy, the only way a woman will not become pregnant is to abstain from intercourse.
Hi, Yes they can, I donated eggs to my sister and she is now blessed with twins. So you sure can donate eggs if your tubes are tied and burnt.
Yes, just happened to us today. Waiting for second blood test in 2 days and ultrasound to see where baby is.
Yes; hence, she still has a period.
its not commen but women have been known to get pregnant in there tubes. this is called a tuble pregnancy.if you do get pregnant in your tubes you would have to go to the hospital and they will have to untie the tubes and inplant the baby in the uterus. if you don't get help and get the baby moved into the uterus the baby will continue to stay in the tubes and die while there and you will end up miscarring and have surgery to remove. in some cases the mother dies from excess blood loss from tuble pregnancy if the matter is not taken care of quickly.
It's really mis-named; it's the deliberate severing and scarring of the fallopian tubes to prevent the fertilization of eggs. To say they are tied sort of infers that they can be un-tied, but it just ain't so.
No, they can not force you to have any surgery against your will.

Pregnancy tests work the same on women with and without their tubes tied.

Probably. It should work just fine if she's to be implanted with fertilized eggs from the other couple.

When women have their tubes tied, it is done as a method of birth control. It is permanent and involves sealing a woman's fallopian tubes.
Yes you canYou can but it may not work. I have known 3 women whose tubes were tied and when through getting them untied. It didn't work.
