Definietely you can!! I wore braces for 3 years, and went to state 2 of those years. :) The wax helps a lot when you first start out.. You can get it at Wal-Mart!! :)

Of course you can! I know plenty of people who play the Flute who have braces. After you play for a while you learn to adapt. It may be a bit difficult to play after you get them tightened, but you learn to adjust quickly.

Once you get braces, it is a bit difficult to play your instrument at first. As a clarinet player myself, my braces only seemed to effect my playing the first time I tried. But you should get the knack pretty quickly and be played as usual.

Yes you can. I've played saxophone for 7 years, three of which I had braces. There is a tiny difference that you have to get used to. After a few weeks of playing, you'll almost forget they're there.

But it is a challenge because your embouchure can change with the addition of the braces. My brother played Trumpet with braces and I played Trombone with braces. What I remember the most was packing wax on the braces so they wouldn't cut into my lips. Then after the braces came off I had to rebuild my embouchure again but it didn't take long to do.

Ask your orthodontist if he can give you a mouth cover to ease the little bit of pain. Good Luck!
