there are a ton of whammy bars out there and surely at least one will fit.
les paul guys I say go with Kahler 2200 stud mounted or stetsbar to bigsby
if you want a floyd rose on a guitar it's much , much cheaper to buy a guitar with ir already in it.
Only some electric guitars can have a whammy bar attached. On the side of the bridge (the bridge is the part that has the strings attached to it on the bottom half of the guitar) locate a small hole. Put the part of the bar with the twist on/off bit in the hole and tighten it. Don't push down too hard on the bar, as it may damage the bridge/body of the guitar. When putting the guitar in a bag or case, remove the whammy bar.
twist it in the hole until its loose enough to stay there but play
if it doesn't check out the ibanez forums, I was hanging out with one of my friends and she had a strat with no whammy bar so I took the whammy bar off my BC Rich guitar and because it was a different kind (floyd rose) it wouldn't work on her fender stratocaster lookalike. there should be no installation , just put it in I mean the metal is already prepared and a direct replacement, if you can get your money back go for it.
Conceivably you can put a whammy onto any electrice guitar, but it in reality it is a lot of trouble of modification to do so. Answer: You can really only put a whammy bar on a guitar that has a Floyd Rose tremolo bridge. Most Ibanez guitars come with these standard, although some Fender/Squier guitars have a bridge similar to a Floyd Rose, but only whammy bars made by the Fender will fit in the hole. (at least what I've tried) And it is possible to set up a Floyd Rose on any guitar or bass, it just takes a lot of work, and a lot of knowledge because there are some vital parts in a guitar that you might not know what they're there for, so seek some professional help if you are a little uneasy about modifying your instrument.
The device on the body of your bass where the strings attach is the bridge. All you need do is remove the bridge you have and install one with a tremolo--but before you do, know that a new bridge for your bass is a couple hundred bucks, and you're playing a bass not a freakin' Guitar. Neither Geddy Lee, Steve Harris nor Gene Simmons use whammy bars on their basses; the reason they don't is a bass doesn't really need one.
just but a rubber band on the sideo of the guitar where you put the strap and the on the whammy bar (where it beggins) it brokn

I would say "no" because of all the work that would be involved in changing the type of bridge so you use a whammy bar.
yes it is. search it on youtube or google. i put one on my friends acoustic and its awesome just install an electric guitar bridge on you acoustic.

If you really need it go for it but remember there's whammy bars that don't require cutting any wood or seriously modifying the guitar to make a whammy bar work... Kahler, Bigsby Stetsbar or something like that. I'd say go with a Jackson or Agile if you really want a explorer with whammy bar, Agile is one of the only companies I know that can go toe to toe with Gibson on quality and sound... just I could buy three maybe four Agiles for the price of one Gibson Explorer. LTD is another brand that make incredible guitars and I've played it all.... no exhaggeration I've owned 17 guitars and I'm not a rich person I buy, sell and repair.
I had the same problem with my new guitar, so its not one size will fit all is the easiest answer unless its the exact same brand and model. this is funny though my 7 string has a much longer whammy bar I like more, I tried to put it on my normal 6 string BC Rich Beast and it wouldn't fit! but the 6 string whammy bar did. They where both Licensed Floyd rose and everything.
Les Pauls are not made with a whammy bar in mind. They do not have the right bridge. You would need to modify the bridge and drill holes in the back of your LP to get a decent whammy bar fitted.
Normally the status bar is there, but it is possible to put a toolbar there too.Normally the status bar is there, but it is possible to put a toolbar there too.Normally the status bar is there, but it is possible to put a toolbar there too.Normally the status bar is there, but it is possible to put a toolbar there too.Normally the status bar is there, but it is possible to put a toolbar there too.Normally the status bar is there, but it is possible to put a toolbar there too.Normally the status bar is there, but it is possible to put a toolbar there too.Normally the status bar is there, but it is possible to put a toolbar there too.Normally the status bar is there, but it is possible to put a toolbar there too.Normally the status bar is there, but it is possible to put a toolbar there too.Normally the status bar is there, but it is possible to put a toolbar there too.
