Best Answer

Yes.

They scan the streets with special cameras that scan the license plates, looking for any past due parking tickets. If they find that car, they break in, and tow it away, so they can make you pay even more money on top of the tickets, or keep your car. They don't take any money once they catch you---they insist on taking your car, and and towing it. Its a racket.

If it was towed for unpaid tickets, the court would have had to order the towing. In VA, all cars that are towed must be reported to the police.

No they will not pull you over for parking tickets unless the company who booked you in the first place has took it to court and obtained a warrant of arrest for non-payment of your parking fine. Will parking tickets be issued on Sunday July 4th?

No, probably not. If you are parking to go to a celebration at a park, and you park in an area that you're not supposed to- probably not. If you want to make sure, ask the police that are helping parking and ask them if you can park in areas that you are not usually supposed to park in. They will probably say yes if there is no room in the parking lots.

If you received a speeding ticket for going 79 in a 70 mph zone will this be reported to your insurance agent?

Police departments do not report tickets to insurance companies. That's true. But they DO report them to the DMV and the insurance companies have access to these records. If you don't believe me, just ask your agent when you got your last ticket.
