On January 8th 1981, The sixth season of "Austin City Limits" premiered on the PBS network featuring The Charlie Daniels Band.

The sixth season of "Austin City Limits" begins with the sounds of crickets chirping as a shot of a sun setting down on a black ground with clouds.

Then the camera pans down on the shot of a rustic tree with bushes appears on a lake when the camera follows as an Austin City Limits sign appears.

The music then shifts from crickets chirping to Willie Nelson's rendition of the Bob Wills classic "Stay all night, Stay a little longer" playing throughout the scene.

Then, the camera zooms in on the Austin City Limits sign when it flashes green with bushes and yellow with Austin City Limits sign as the truck appears.

While the camera zooms in on the Austin City Limits sign, the truck starts passing the Austin City Limits as the sound of a truck appears, which may be used for the closing credits of Season 18 (1993), Season 19, (1994) Season 20 (1995), Season 21, (1996) and Season 22 (1997).

After the camera zooms in on the Austin City Limits sign, the scene fades to a bar where it was full of lights and people and it had "AUSTIN" written on it when two people got off the truck.

Then we cut to a scene where all the people are dancing to Willie Nelson's rendition of the Bob Wills classic "Stay all night, Stay a little longer".

Then it cuts to a shot of a floor where the legs are dancing in a bar, and it cuts to a shot of people still dancing at a bar with blue spotlights.

The next scene cuts to a shot of two dancers dancing in front of the sign

while the song plays.

We cut to a bar table full of bottles where a few people are sitting as a bartender gives a bottle.

Then it cuts back to a shot of people dancing at a bar still has blue spotlights, and cut back to the floor where the legs appeared to dance.

The next scene fades to a table where a lady in a cowboy hat is watching when an old man with with white beard and vintage glasses pointing a finger talking to a cowboy as he knocks the bottles on the table, Because of the Willie Nelson song and a cowboy doesn't say.

Then it cuts back to two people dancing against a wall with blue spotlights, and it cuts to two people kissing at a bar.

Then we cut to three people are on the table with bottles below, and we cut to a shot of the fire burning where a cowboy is standing on the billards with a light below.

The next scene cuts to a shot of balls on the billards on the pool when a cowboy hits the balls with a stick, as the camera zooms in on the cue ball.

Then it fades to a shot of people dancing as it goes dark, and the camera zooms in on the Austin City Limits neon logo as the instrumental version of "London Homesick Blues" plays.

Then a shot of the Austin City Limits logo appears with a star below, and the camera zooms in on the star into a black screen.
