Her parents got divorced in 1994 which convinced her father, Patrick to move out of Texas to New Mexico. A sufferer of health problems, Patrick "stayed out" of Demi's life and they both had a very distant relationship and very little communication. In 2008, Demi Lovato and her father, Patrick, saw each other face to face which made Demi very exited!
