Yes, it is in front of the radiator. It looks like a small rad on the drivers side looking throught the grill.
Take it and have it checked for codes. It sounds like the trans is overheating and needs repaired before it is ruined.
No.
I am doing it right now actually. Remove the dust plate (I am installing a new transmission), and get the bolts on from the front. Facing the vehicle, the biggest opening will be on the right side. It's not easy, but it has worked for me many times. Good luck
He invented the Cherokee syllabary, a writing system still used today. Now all Apple computers come with Cherokee installed and there's a Cherokee-language Google that uses Sequoyah's syllabary.

When you buy one, it will come with detained instructions.
Yes thay all have a transmission cooler built into the radiator, If you follow the 2 transmission lines that come from the side of the transmission up towards the front of the truck, you will see were thay hook to the cooler. Some had a second transmission cooler in front of the radiator if the truck came with a heavy duty tow package
the transmission cooler is in the radiator of most cars if you do not see a whole in a line you can go to autozone or some other car parts store and buy a transmission cooler they work a lot better at keeping your transmission cooler and you can just not hook anything up to the two lines for the cooler in your radiator as nothing will come out hope this helps you out
If its an automatic transmission then yes, it does but it might not be enough. If the vehicle doesn't have a factory tow package, it might not have an auxiliary cooler. Those that don't, the transmission cooler is basically your engine radiator. The lines from the transmission go to the radiator. If this is the case, you really should get a separate cooler. Keeping the temp down on an automatic transmission is key to its life.
Only 5 speeds
Jeep Wrangler and Cherokee with a inline 6 engine.
Purchase the cooler of your choice. They come with complete instructions. Very easy job, and this would be a good time to change your transmission fluid.
Cloth trim , but soem of them come with a leather trim as well.
the transmission is located on the driver's side of the engine and yes the engine has to be removed to change the transmission
The 42 RE was used in 1994-2004 Jeep Grand Cherokee s.
There are pages and pages of codes, have it checked by a scanner and then diagnosed from there.
I started having the same problem around 80,000 and eventually had to replace the transmission. you really need to hook it up to a scanner to find out.
