Elvis, the Rolling Stones, Led Zeppelin, just to name a few, got their melody, style, harmonica passion and heart felt lyrics that had the soul affect of the blues from many blues artists that they looked up to as an inspiration and many have collaborated with these great blues icons and still do. These artists include great legends such as Muddy Waters, Sam Cooke Chuck Barry, Howlin Wolf, Buddy Guy, and BB King, just to name a few as there are many past and current blues legends. Eventually, rock n roll moved on into a category of its own, but most of the classic rock big bands all have a little bit of blues in their heart and music.
