No electric keyboards should always been in tune. But there are several reasons why one might go out of tune.

Due a keyboard being an electronic device, and electronics have a habit of failing when their old or abused in some way it is possible that the keyboard might be suffering from de-tuning itself. I have experienced this is a concert and it sounds rough.

On occasions a sound or patch will de-tune itself during performance and sound awful, unfortunately there is never an obvious cause.

If the keyboard has a pitch bend or modulation wheel or joystick it is possible the struts of that mechanism have damaged or loose contacts underneath. but if you have dropped it or if the contacts are loose and vibrating on stage this could be the cause of de-tuning.

The other thing that was found to make the keyboard go out of tune was a faulty cable. A stray piece of copper wire in your cable can cause a drop out and cause a change in the signal therefore altering the sound. So try replacing the cables too.

There's lots of forums on dismantling keyboards on the internet, but a qualified technician is the best bet to answer this question thoroughly.

What family is the keytar in?

Keyboards. It is hard to place piano, electric keyboards, harpsichord, etc into any other categoty so some just say keyboards. Some may argue something else(piano gets percussion because there are little hammers hitting the strings, and sometimes strings), but just go with keyboards.

How do you I get my Paul Reed Smith SE guitar to stay in tune?

For all guitars it is best to not bang the guitar around, obviously for the reason not to damage it, but also to try and keep it in tune. If you have lessons, ask your teacher to tune it up every time you go, or alternitavely, buy and electric tuner from a music shop.
