Remove doop panel, remove dust cover, remove two nuts holding window, unbolt guide post, unbolt motor, swing assembly thru openning
did you also replace the regulator? sometimes its the regulator that goes bad and not the motor.
It is inside the door, bolts to the regulator(the linkage that moves the glass up and down).
I AM GOING THROUGH THIS MYSELF. i HAVE LOCATED THE PART ON WWW.ROCKAUTO.COM (DORMAN PART # 74168) FOR 77.70 FOR THE MOTOR AND REGULATOR. i WILL POST MORE ONCE i REPLACE IT.
There could be several causes for this type of problem: 1) The power window up portion of the switch is not functioning or wiring is loose at the switch and or motor. 2) The motor is failing and is not providing enough force to raise the window or is off-track and inding. To check this condition lower the window , then grasp the window and when the up button is pressed assist it(leave enough space to ensure you do not pinch you hand.in the window frame) if the window motor operates and the window begins to rise the window could be binding or the motor replaced. in either case the door panel will need to be removed the electrical switch and motor are tested and the mechanical operator and track inspected for proper operation.

Remove the window regulator and motor from the door as an assembly. Drill out rivets that hold motor to regulator and replace motor. Regulator needs to be riveted back into door for reassembly

Remove the window regulator assembly from the door.Remove the motor from the regulator by drilling out the attaching rivets with a 3/16 in. drill bit.Connect the window motor to the regulator with 3/16 in. rivets.Install the window regulator assembly.
How to remove the window motor from the regulator
Window motor and regulator are found inside of the door panel and may be bolted or riveted in. Should be bolted. Disconnect the window from regulator, take out reg. and motor, then disconnect regulator from motor, reconnect new motor to regulator, reattach those inside of the door, then reconnect the window to the regulator, put it together and see if it works.

To change the power window motor regulator in a 2004 Chevy Colorado, first disconnect the vehicle battery to ensure safety. Remove the door panel by unscrewing any visible screws and gently prying it away from the door frame. Once the panel is off, disconnect the electrical connector from the window motor, unbolt the old regulator and motor assembly, and then replace it with the new unit. Finally, reassemble the door panel and reconnect the battery to test the new regulator.
You have to drill the rivets on the motor separating it from the regulator. The new motor then mounts to the regulator and you insert the new bolts where the riverts were.
You will have to replace the entire regulator assembly. The wire is not available.
