Automatic trans, 50K, standard trans, 100K.
Are you asking because your transmission fluid leaked when warm and doesn't show any more signs of leaks???
on the side of the trans there should be a size 17mm allan hole witch u will need a allan wrench to get off, (usually u need a socket type). getting the fluid into the trans is a whole different ball game because of the way the allan is positioned.
the engine oil and trans oil is all in one!
AW4 trans uses Dextron 3Chrysler 42rh uses mopar atf+4Check the dipstick, it should say.AW4 trans uses Dextron 3Chrysler 42rh uses mopar atf+4Check the dipstick, it should say.
Check the top of the trans axle, facing the car on your right , red cap that reads transmission fluid.
If this is a standard shift transmission, some one may have put the incorrect trans fluid in to it. Drain and refill with correct fluid, check your drivers manual for correct trans fluid.
Cannot check fluid level. Factory filled and sealed with a preset amount. If there are no leaks, do not worry. If it leaks, after necessary repairs, drain and refill with correct amount.
You have to refill it through the trans dipstick tube.
For automatic trans you refill the fluid thru the dipstick and for manual theres a fill hole in the tranny..
if you can see the drain bolt on the bottom of trans, the check or add bolt is vertical about 3 inches up on the right side of the trans housing
all of the components for the top, including a plug in the side of the motor to fill with fluid from are under the back seat area. Refill for fluid is dex trans fluid.
under the trans.a special hole beside the drain plug, you need a special pump to fill the fluid.if no leak you dont have to check the trans fluid. https://sites.google.com/site/autowners/

Drain and Refill Automatic Transmission Fluid - Volume: 3.20QTS. ( 3.0L )
All you can do in your driveway is drop the trans pan, replace the trans filter, replace the trans pan gasket, install pan (no gasket sealer needed or required!) and refill what fluid drained out in the process which is aprox half of the fluid the trans holds. Take it to a trans shop if you want a complete fluid change. They will have the equipment to do a trans flush.
need to know if it is and automatic or a standard shift transmission Automatic has no dipstick to check trans fluid.
