Hi, depends on the type of your Bass Recorder. Bass recorders are in 'F' Key, ie all holes closed produces an 'F'. Baroque or English Fingering is slightly different to German Fingering (only on 2 notes B & F, I think). Google for it and there is plently on the web. Also, recommend down loading a tuner so that you can work out the notes your recorder produces, just to confirm.

you have to put 2 fingers in the wholes and then you left finger goes in the whole in the back of you recorder.
There are a number of bass recorders currently available, each with differing qualities and price ranges. One of the most well respected and praised instruments is the Yamaha YRB-320 bass recorder that has recieved great reviews on many popular music forums.

You will need recorder grease for a wooden recorder, and recorder cream for a resin/plastic recorder. On either one, use your finger to smear the grease on the joints of the recorder. On a wooden recorder, the joint will be made of cork or string.
Left hand, middle finger is C natural.
It depends on the type of recorder one has.If one has a soprano or tenor recorder, one plays low A by pressing down the thumb hole, and the first two finger holes. High A on these recorders is played with the same fingering, but with the thumb hole covered only halfway. If one has the sopranino, alto, or bass recorder, one plays it by pressing down the thumb hole, and the first, second, third, fourth, and fifth finger holes. High A on these recorders is played using the same fingering, but with the thumb hole covered only halfway.
