Why bother is the real question here. Those were bad times back then and obviously something happened where you didn't end up with your wife's best friend. Never forget that women (not just in looks of course) are very different than men. That friend of your ex's probably felt rotten about ever having the affair with you, and seeing you will just remind her of it. It will split up a friendship between your ex and her friend, (if it already hasn't happened) but then again, do you really care about all that? It's time for you to learn a few lessons, grow from your past experiences and move on to other parts of your life.
