I'm not sure you can put free games on iPod's but I will tell you how I think you could try...
If you have Windows XP or Vista, add this ( \My Music\iTunes\iPod Games ) onto the end of this ( My Documents ). In your My Documents folder. Once you are in you should be able to see the folder Klondike, Don't click on it but make a new folder called: Free IPOD games, or something like that... than copy and paste your free games into that folder. If you don't have free games than I don't know what to tell you...

At the moment there are no websites to download free games for the ipod nano. There are however websites to download free games for the ipod touch. But you have to hack your i pod first
because there are a lot more ipod touch apps than the regular ipod games and apple doesnt make all the apps but they have to put more effort into the ipod games than the ipod touch/iphone apps.
no, you can't put gun's and roses on a ipod for free.
Some games on the Ipod Touch are free. Now not all are.. When you are browsing through for games on your ipod touch you will see that some are free to download and some are not, it really depends on the game. Some say there is a way to put games on there not associated with apple, but I don't know for sure about that. A positive thing is that the games for purchase are not too expensive, and you keep them forever until you delete them.
If you want free things on your iPod, you have to jail break it.
