On your radio your preset stations each have a number 1,2,3,4,5,etc. The first preset station represents the first number in your code. if your code is 8642 then you would: press #1 preset 9 times. press #2 preset 7 times. press #3 preset 5 times. press #4 preset 3 times. (The first press is a 0) After you enter YOUR code (not this code) then press the CD button.
For my radio, you simply select the station you want and then hold the preset button down for about 5 seconds. The station is now set to that button. Note: Each of my 6 preset buttons will select two stations each, so you first must select the first or second preset, by tapping it once or twice, before performing the 5 second hold down.
If it is a stock radio dial the frequency up on the radio then press and hold the number button where you want it stored for about 5 seconds. The sound will cut out for a second as the station is stored.
