Just track the IP address off the person either sharing or downloading the illegal files. You can track somebody yourself. You dont need any high tech tools, you dont need a college degree. Its not hard at all.
No.
If you're referring to LimeWire, the file sharing software, ANY file sharing application can be dangerous in and of itself, because of the way it allows PCs to communicate with each other. The unfortunate fact of the matter is that you can't trust absolutely everyone with an internet connection - including persons with whom you share files. As to the specifics of the malware potential, see some of the links here, and draw your own conclusions: http://www.google.com/search?hl=en&lr=&safe=off&q=limewire%2C+malware Personally speaking, I don't believe that ANY file sharing apps are safe, and a LOT of them come with all sorts of spyware and malware built in, making it an even bigger gamble. I certainly wouldn't install it on any of my systems, and most IT administrators forbid installation on business systems.
download limewire, and then download it off of there
Click and drag than put it in a folder than.....
limewire is illegal no matter what. However, in most countries it is much more difficult to monitor and prosecute users who do not share their files. It would be wise to turn off the sharing mode in limewire.
Limewire is a file sharing program. File Sharing for programs and files such as songs and video games, is illegal. No exceptions. However, file sharing for things that can be downloaded off the internet, legally and free such as a freeware game is legal.
Because limewire is a peer to peer server, meaning that their is no central thing that operates it somewhere, to stop limewire the police would have to go to every computer in the world that has limewire on it and manually delete it off of every computer. As long as two people have limewire and are sharing files with each other it will keep going.
Yes you can (: Go to 'My Library' On the page there is a 'What I'm Sharing' Click on it, then everything you are sharing comes up. Then near the top there is a button that says"Share" Click on it and then change it to unshare all.. Hope this helps (:
limewire cannot be illegal, because its sharing music and the people arent making profit off of it. so and anyway. Its not illegal unless you get caught. xD
napster was originally a service which allowed sharing off files !
No. Limewire is actually a corporation. It is called a "peer-to-peer sharing program" which basically means it will grab your files and everyone else's files and post it in the "cloud" for everyone to download. There are so many viruses inside of LimeWire. They hide them in files with different extensions. A file might be labeled as an MP3 (.mp3), but it could be a virus with a true extension of (.exe). Not to mention, it is illegal to download any copyrighted material off of LimeWire. The company has seriously suffered with lawsuit after lawsuit. It is all just a giant mess that I don't recommend getting into. -Hope this Helps!
You should not use limewire, since it is an illegal music sharing website.

If you are using Limewire 4.8.1 go to "tools" "options" "view" "autocomplete text" and uncheck "Enable Autocompletion of Text Fields".
AnswerThey could still sue you; however, in past instances they normally look for the person uploading. College campuses are the most supervised internet uploads and downloads. Avoid selling burnt copies of music- as little as you may sell it can cost you a lot more than it is worth.
no limewire is not illegal. but the things you get off it can be i have had my internet shut off for downloading copyright things on limewire
