The connector has a latch/lock on it that needs to be slid over before it can be unplugged. On my Jeep the lock was red and I just sort of pulled the bigger side with my fingernail, since it is kind of small and harder to get, until it wouldn't move anymore and presto I could then just pull the connector loose like any normal plug. The OBDII connector is under the dash on the left (driver) side.

look just behind the downpipe of the exhaust manifold. right at the 2 oclock position of the bellhousing top on a 4.0 when looking at it from front of the car, yes its behind the lip at the hardest place to get to. or access from under the car. i prefer the tip though.
On a Jeep Grand Cherokee v6, the thermostat is located in the thermostat housing. The housing can be easily located by following the upper radiator hose to it.
The bell housing is between the engine and the transmission.
On a Cherokee the thermostat is under the housing that the upper radiator hose hooks to. On a Grand Cherokee with the 4.7L it is under the lower hose attachment housing.

The crankshaft position sensor is bolted to the bell housing of a 96 Grand Cherokee. It is at the top of the bell housing, just on the drivers side on a 4.0 L and on the passenger side on a V8.
The crankshaft sensor on a 4.0L Jeep Grand Cherokee is mounted on the top driver side of the transmission bell housing.
It is under the housing where the upper hose goes on the engine.

To replace a turn signal on a 1994 Jeep Grand Cherokee prop the hood open. Locate the headlight housing and the turn signal will be located next to it. Find the bulb and remove it from the housing. Replace the bulb.
